Dunn County kick-off dinner

Saturday, January 26th, 2008

Dunn County started off their 100 anniversary celebration on January 18, 2008.  Despite the bitter cold weather, there was a great turn-out from throughout the county area. Entertainment was the county youth centenial choir.  The Dodge Post Office sold a special cancellation stamp commemorating the counties 100 hundredth anniversary.  Great job to Wanda for coming up with this awesome remembrance.

Sixth Annual Old Fashioned Christmas

Wednesday, December 5th, 2007

The City of Dodge will be hosting its Sixth Annual Old Fashioned Christmas on December 8th from 4-7p.m. in the City Auditorium.

There will be a free will offering buffet table featuring chiliburgers, hotdogs, and a variety of homemade cookies and candies provided by community residents.

The Sunshine Club will be serving homemade ice cream.

There will be activities to keep you busy for many hours.  Outside there will be some one to give hay rides around town while you sing Christmas carols and look at all the decorated homes and yards.

Inside the auditorium there will be some musical entertainment and games for the children.  There will be vendors selling their wares–crafts, home decorating items, baked items and candies.  An excellent opportunity to do some Christmas shopping.

Popcorn balls will also be available for purchase with the proceeds going to the community library.

The most important part of course, will be a visit from Santa.  He will have goodies for the kids and will be available to have his picture taken with anyone, so bring your cameras.

A good time was had by all who attended.  Santa was a great treat to all kids, young and old.

The selection of goodies and the food prepared by the ladies of the community was awesome.

Thanks to all who helped participate in making this event a success.  The following pictures will help preserve the memories of this event.
